Cat Person, not a Catperson
As someone who played Spice Runners way back when, and I will add the context that I have not played it since the 2.0 betas, I always loved the idea of these circuit high score esque modes, and wanted to make something a bit more refined (hopefully), with less layers of old code. Basically a do-over.
Right now most of the round functionality is present in it's most basic forms, as well as groundworks for music playback and customization.
A good chunk of my older projects will likely be incorporated into this one, seeing as I need a place to use em.

Ghost and Revive system
Taking fatal damage will make you a ghost, leaving you unable to pick up rings or do damage (to the best of my ability that I could program...)
You also cannot complete laps or end your run, and you'll instantly lose when the round ends if either everyone's a ghost, or finished their run themselves.
You can revive by touching another player, simple as.
(Some might remember this as another mod of mine! This was the project it was originally meant for.)
The actual darn gamemode!!!
Getting to the end of the level will teleport everyone to it, maintaining players' speeds and directing them backwards.
Your goal then is to rack up points by collecting rings, hitting enemies and other players, and doing laps from finish to start!
You're on a timer, once it runs out all ghost players are immediately sent away with a loss, and anyone who dies will immediately lose too.
Players still alive will get "overtime" based on their average lap times, adding just a little bit of time back each lap, not enough to go infinitely, though.
You can actually finish your run and cash in your score by finding a big ring usually hidden somewhere off to the side in the middle of the map!
My aim is on a couple of things, foremost to not change the abilities of characters in any way if possible.
Player Vs Player shenanigans are more of a focus than some funny chasing png, which was scrapped quite early on conceptually for this.
Supplement the original gametypes, rather than clash with them.
