SRB2infinity ver.2 ver.2 2.0.3

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY EYES

After playing this mod for nearly 9 hours in Singleplayer after experiencing it a little on a multiplayer server, I wanted to see if the game would save my progress so I returned to the title screen and came back to my save file, only to find out pretty much by entire stats were wiped out since it seems the game thought I was starting from the beginning.
What's strange is that I still have access to all the quests and its hard mode version, even entering the Arena as a Level 1 Hunter. I don't know why it did that but I recall on the multiplayer server that I died while I had to customize my character so it could probably come from that or not.

Seems this message comes when you exit your singleplayer save file though I don't know what caused the error in the first place.

I've confirmed this happens when erasing a savefile through the menu, I'm working on a patch that fixes this and other bugs that were found.
The only way to fix it currently is to delete luafiles/srb2i/psover2_localsave.sav2 and start over.

It's however possible to at least recover lost progress by using debug commands with 'psod_debugcheats' and 'psod_setlevel', 'psod_getmeseta', 'psod_gettp', 'psod_resetshop' and such which should allow you to at least make up for it by buying items in the shop.

Lat' updated SRB2infinity ver.2 with a new update entry:

SRB2infinity ver.2 2.0.1 patch

Hihi!
All things considered ver.2 launched with relatively few bugs, here's an update to patch the bulk of them as well as a few small additions that I felt were necessary.
I also want to sincrely thank everyone for their love and support, it made me super happy to see servers with 10+ players going up against boss fights and just seeing players go together in smaller groups to hunt for items in general!

Worth noting that this changelog may contain spoilers for areas, enemies and...

Lat' updated SRB2infinity ver.2 with a new update entry:

SRB2infinity ver.2 2.0.2 patch

A patch with a few important bugfixes and balance changes.

Updates & changes:
  • Changed the specifications of the Chain system:
    • Chain Break can now only last a maximum of 10 seconds (before the effects of Jellen)
    • Chain Break's duration per Chain count is decreased based on player count.
      • This effectively means that in order to max out the duration, players need to achieve a chain of 34, 45, 68 and 92 respectively based on player count.
      • The reason for...

SRB2infinity ver.2 2.0.3 patch & plans for the future!

A patch with yet more fixes and balance changes to even out the playing field on items that were a biiiit too strong, and especially some that didn't see much use!

Before the patch notes; I'd also like to state that we now have a wiki!
It's currently very early in development but will be completed with all kinds of useful information (internal calculations, items & locations...) about the game as time goes on. Anyone...

Time to find something else to abuse that also lets me ignore 70% of the hardwork lat put into this game over the last 2 years. :^)

It seems all the cafe weapons are bugged. No matter if you craft them or get them as a drop in a mission, they will always disappear from the inventory, wasting any resources put into them. And that really sucks, because most of them look amazing!

So this is unrelated to the mod itself, but if I really like this mod should I get phantasy star online 2 new genesis? Is the gameplay any different, or any other significant differences I should know?

This game most closely emulates Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity for the PSP. If you want to experience the game that SRB2i is based on, that is the exact game to play.

If you want the closest MMO game to play that is not a single-player focused experience, then Phantasy Star Online 2 would be the game of choice. Specifically, that over PSO2: New Genesis (in my opinion anyway). Just know that the gameplay starts to grow exponentially different when going to PSO2 and then even more so when going to NGS.

PSO2 and PSO2:NGS are the "same game" so if you play one you can play the other freely and interchange between the 2 games at the drop of a dime since they're "basically the same exe"

at least for all intents and purposes. hope that helps.
