SRB2 v2.2.15 Patch Release

They still haven't fixed ~255 texture issues. Still can see them ingame. Game still loads slow. What happened to 2.2.13 load times? There should be beta testing before releasing an update.

Dang. I was kinda wishing we could keep the shield button change. But then again, being able to play the game with mods, without having to use a custom build is much more desirable.

Also, rip the most goated version of Pipe Towers I've ever played. Hope it releases to the MB sooner rather than later.

Something I've had in the back of my head for a bit now: I can understand replacing the official download links to 2.2.14 with the 2.2.15 ones since that's the most up to date version, but is there a reason why 2.2.14 seems to not be available at all? I've tried looking around for a working link, even going so far as to use the Wayback Machine to see if one of the old links would work on that but nothing seems to have been archived. 2.2.14 had some pretty significant differences from 2.2.15 so my inner preservationist would like to see it preserved in some form.

I'm not looking for it to have it, I'm just wondering why there seemingly hasn't been any effort to archive it. Considering the additions that were added in that version and then removed in 2.2.15, it almost feels like a little piece of SRB2 history is being buried away instead of being preserved.

I'd prefer it be archived more "officially" anyway. Unofficial archives are liable to obscurity and becoming lost to time, which goes against the point.

The Pipe Towers Zone revamp was removed in 2.2.15 due to something related to asset crediting according to the news post, so I assume nuking 2.2.14 instead of keeping it as a previous version download is tied to that? If, for example(no idea if it is this, purely an example), it's a case of one asset creator taking credit for someone else's work, and the person who originally made said assets didn't want them out there/used/whatever, that would make removing it make more sense. That's just a wild guess on my front, but something related to the Pipe Tower Zone situation makes more sense than something like "we forgot" or "we're THAT worried about the shield button mod situation" I think?

To be fair, I never theorized on why they might not have archived it, I only asked why as far as I could tell they didn't and stated why I was asking.

I find it crazy that copyright problems are an issue in fangames at this point.
I remember an internet where everyone did what they wanted.
