I beleive that's enough naming. The topic seems to be going nowhere.
 
it is actually going somewhere, we are thinking of names to name my Darkworld Map Pack

currently made: darkworldGFZ1.wad
Working on: DarkworldGFZ2.wad
Not started: DarkworldGFZ3-boss.wad (drawing a blank on this wad name, im wondering if i should leave out the "-boss" part)

Well, ofcourse you dont need the -boss. Unless someone has never played a sonic game before, downloaded this and your gfzDW3 wad, managed to figure out everything execpt act numebrs and stuff, It shouldn't matter whiether or not the -boss is there.

The dark gate, maybe?

Well, anyway, GFZ2 dark world is about 50% complete, and I have had an idea for the way the maps could be done:
GFZ can have you running to the end of the lught world, and then running back to the teleporter, like now.
THZ could have a two way, where you can go to the dark or light world, each having an advantage to each.
And CEZ could have complicated puzzles.

true, but im not doing THZ or CEZ... I might do them, but for now, the awnser is No...

Lol, i dont think i'll do the Mario mode...
Besides, i dont think it'd be a good idea to make 2D darkworld Maps :eek:
 
The idea was that if I got some good wadder to make a fun Dark World map, then some other good wadders would want to make Dark World maps as well, and I've been bugging Alam and Logan to bug SSNTails to put it in SRB2 official so that doing so would be possible, as it is very simplistic and bugless (aside from problems which would've existed either way, such as enemys not losing their target when it teleports across half the map and behind a thok barrier)...

But I did not expect a very lame conversion of GFZ which uses the Dark World for no apparent reason whatsoever... I was hoping for something more along the lines of an original singleplayer stage which has a couple rooms similer to Lightbulb Factory 2's "illusion room," which either force you to switch worlds to get out of danger (and out of that room) or to go a short way through the dark world to open something in the light world, then go back to the light world and find what was opened...

In any case, I've been helping... I provided a "DarkWorldTest" wad which demonstrated everything you can do with a Dark World map (from having a button and a cave only in the light world to having a cage full of enemys only in the dark world)... Which is where the teleporters, Crawla Commanders, and CEZ texturing ideas originally came from. ...DarkWorldGFZ1 sucked a lot more before I got my hands on it, trust me.

:? Ree-c, your linedef execs kinda suck, how they work and all... All three of those linedef executors could be on a single control sector.

But... um... Yeah...

and it seems people really like this darkworldGFZ1.wad, if you READ the posts above, and besides. I WORKED MY ASS OFF ON THESE MAPS!... plus i AM a good wadder.

Besides, I didnt Even know what you wanted, I added a Button and i did what you said... :evil:
Im doing my best on this project JTE I felt really bad for you that you didnt have any darkworld maps :cry:
 
You've gotta take what you can get, JTE.

While it might be great for a Link To The Past game, it really doesn't fit in SRB2.
 
meh... Well Ree-c is Out for the moment soim putting DarkworldGFZ2.wad on hold...

and i'm starting DarkworldGFZ3.wad

Edit: question: how would i make the teleporter (that takes you to the darkworld and Vs the second part of the boss) Rise up from the Ground after beating (the First) Eggman?

(im making 2 Eggmans, one for the light world (1st) and Dark world (2nd))
 
my guess would be double-tagging the button part... so just as your about to press it, you teleport to the parallel darkworld eggman... change that one's sprites to either robo-egg or an undead eggman!
