I know why the movement feels looser.

The player has more acceleration and moves faster when strafing.

How? That is part of sonic.plr, which is not changed.

I can tell by looking closely that all characters speed up ever so slightly quicker than normal.

I can also tell that they strafe from left to right a bit faster.

hey i think you should put in a torch like feature, it just makes a cornas appear for a light, but it might only work for ogl only, and it would help for timelight too

EDIT: And maybe you could make it so that the player's names show up above them when in multiplayer. And...wait for it...In-game Character Customizer! I'd be a lot easier than having to make wad files. You could put in pre-traits (which are parts pre-made by the game) that are different from the 3 main characters, or you could have them make it themselves! That way, no-one will get on your case for simple recolorings.

Just an idea...
