Scripting won't really help you make levels, so that's why I asked. I'm not sure what you're thinking scripting will let you do. SRB2 doesn't have complex ACS scripts like Zdoom or anything. The closest you can get to that is SOC editing.
Linedef executors, actually. SOCs are more like a combination between DEHACKED and DECORATE, IMO.
Anyway, scripting exists, but it's really just a bunch of console commands in a lump, executed in order. NOTHING like ACS, if that's what you were thinking, but enough for cute little messages and the like.
All scripting in SRB2 does is execute console commands. If you look at the console command list, you pretty much already understand scripting. A script is just a text file with a bunch of console commands.
Used together with linedef executors scripting can do a whole bunch of weird things. Ever wanted to change the camera angel to fit a specific part of the level? Though if you wanted to do that, it might be best just to use the Cut Away View thing...
