srb2 riders - i keep getting c rank

sup guys i need help with srb2 riders 2.46.5 the problem is i am doing anything but i always get a c rank
what should i do thanks for the help

1: SRB2 Riders 2.46.5 is a very old mod (though its like 20x better than my shitty port :V)
2: Similar to the original Sonic Riders, if you hold the jump button and let it go at a ramp at the right time, you can get a cool rank above C.
