Srb2.org Is Down, The World is Ending!

I am trying to download SRB2 as school and went to the site but it was down, sending me to clipper.ship.edu. Then I tried Penopats link and it worked but the download link for SRB2 installer will not work. It does the same thing...going to clipper ship.


EDIT: ok, I can't get the main server version, but it will let me download the Mirrors. Is their really any difference between them?

It's simply "down" because the site is redirecting to SSN's Clipper Ship account rather than his Sepwich account which holds the data. So, it's not technically "down" so much as incorrectly linking pages. When it's to be fixed... :\

No, the site is actually on clipper. The ssntails.sepwich.com is a mirror, not the actual website.

Apparently, Redsonic on MSN told me that he somehow "hacked" the srb2.org site...

I'm just putting this out here for all to know.

He's most likely just bullshiftkeying at a convenient time.
Also, if he really did do the main page, how come he didn't wipe SSNTails' Sepwich account? Hell, doing the latter would of been a more "demoralizing" ideal.

As I said in #srb2fun, he wouldn't have the brain to hack into a web server and delete the folder containing the SRB2 site, just like he wouldn't be able to hack into the IRC Channel.

It takes a lot of work to do so, and only if there's a security hole in the actual server.

If you "hacked" the site, you certainly did a very bad job of it.

The reality is that the website probably went down because cutter reset. It was simply moved to Sepwich. Nothing major.
