Srb2 on xbox

We have SRB2PSP, it just doesn't work very well. I think it was said about the DS because it's not even possible to optimize SRB2 for such a low amount of RAM but the fanboys still wouldn't shutup about it.

Want a list?
  • SRB2PSP - Yes, but doesn't work too well.
  • SRB2DS - Not possible.
  • SRB2Wii - Uhh, not sure about this one, probably not, but you could probably run it under Linux on the Wii.
  • SRB2PS3 - Who would want to code this? Only way you'll see this is if you can actually get Yellow Dog for the PS3 to not suck (which it does, you can barely do anything on it).
  • SRB2PS2 - Probably possible, but nobody bothers, I suspect it uses the same basic structure as the PSP since they're similar, but hey...
  • SRB2GC - Uhhh, is there even an SDK for the GC?
  • SRB2Xbox - Doesn't work, but the code is there.
  • SRB2360 - Last I heard XNA and C don't mix, shame really...
I'm aware that I'm only listing the current gens, and I've left out some because it's pretty obvious they won't ever work.

Wii and Gamecube homebrew SDK are one and the same, devkitPPC

Akirahedgehog is apparently working on SRB2Wii (which you'll know of if you are in srb2fun while he's on).

I heard from my techno-geak uncle that there's an ANSCI C to C# (XNA) translation, although I can't understand code, and I doubt he'd do this, concidering he's buisy a lot, and that this is a fangame based on a hedgehog. :/

It might be possible, and I'm pretty sure DashFox would do it if he knew how. :P

He'd try, but he wouldn't get any where and would probably spend most of his time using '/query Cue/SSNTails/JTE/Shuffle/Alam_Debian/LoganA/Oogaland' especially the former which he does a lot and it's kinda getting boring because I have more important things to do than tell people how to do stuff, explain why SRB2 won't have it's Zone Memory System replace, etc... >_<

No, Dash takes code, tweaks stuff and uncomments code already in the source, he'd never be able to go through every single piece of code in SRB2 and port it to C#. >_>

His name is not JTE/Shuffle/SSNTails/Alam/Logan/Oogaland, who are about all I can think of who'd have any chance of porting SRB2 to C#, except most of them don't like the language anyway so... =P

Oh, and just for the record, you'd never be able to get a converter that can actually do any decent amount of conversion, they're generally a load of rubbish.

I end my wall of text here. :3

Just take all of SRB2's code, rename all of the files to .cs, and at the top of the code put:

Code:
unsafe
{

and at the bottom of the file put:

Code:
}

Cue, I was joking for pets sake. -_-

And SSN, is that a joke? I'm pretty sure ANSCI C and C# have completely different language bases.

Taking a quick break right now but should be back in the coding process next weekend.
