SRB2 Kart Voice Clips?

ShadowWolf2279

GET ON THE TOWER
I have some voice clip files (still currently .wav files) and I have all the documented names in my notes, but I'm unsure on what some of them do, which is why I haven't converted any of them into .ogg files yet.

A list of what my best guesses are on how each voice clip is used:
  • attack1.ogg - Plays when using an item?
  • attack2.ogg - Plays when using an item?
  • boost1.ogg - Plays when performing a boost.
  • boost2.ogg - Plays when performing a boost.
  • gloat.ogg - Plays when activating a powerup?
  • hitconfirm.ogg - Plays when either passing an opponent or when an opponent hits your item?
  • hurt1.ogg - Plays when hit by another racer's item.
  • hurt2.ogg - Plays when hit by another racer's item.
  • lose.ogg - Plays when finishing in the lower placements.
  • slow.ogg - Plays when finishing in the higher placements.
  • win.ogg - Plays when finishing in first. (Instead of slow.ogg)
These may differ from where they're actually used, so please do correct me if there's any inaccuracies because these are just my best guesses.

slow.ogg is played when passing racers if I remember correctly.

I also think gloat.ogg is used exclusively when special items like invincibility/grow are used.

I'll have to do some downloading to double-check.

That's what I was referring to when I said "powerups".

Here to confirm and provide some verbal mnemonics:
attackX is used when throwing attack items - Orbinauts, Ballhogs, Jawz, etc.
boostX is used when activating Sneakers and Rocket Sneakers - i.e. yes, it's for boosting.
gloat is used when activating Invincibility, Grow and Shrink - since you meant the former two by "powerup", you are correct here as well. Imagine it as a special little gloat for the character's impending comeback.
hitconfirm is used when hitting an opponent with an item, essentially confirming the hit.
hurtX is indeed used when getting hurt by other racers' items or hazards.
lose and win are both for finishing - lose is indeed for the bottom half (the "losers' half"), but win is for the ENTIRE top half (the "winners' half").
slow, like Mr. Jammin' said, is used when passing another player. A way to tell them they're too slow.
