SRB2 Crashes on RetroPie (Raspberry Pi 3 B)

Hiya! I happen to have RetroPie on my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B with SRB2 2.1.23 on it. But when I boot up the game and let it sit for a little while (while playing it of course!) The game crashes and it sends me back to the emulation station menu. I tried heatsinks and fans. But nothing happens. Please help me out!

This is NOT a bug report

to debug SRB2 on a Linux/GNU system, you need the debug binary,

lsdl2srb2.debug

and run it under

catchsegv

so it would print where did SRB2 crashed in
