In hex, that's easy math. 5 MB is 5 x 100000. Much nicer numbers than 5 x F4240. ^_~

I mean in your head. It's a lot easier to multiply a million five hundred sixty nine thousand one hundred twenty three in your head using 1000 than using 1024.

(For the English challenged, that's 1,569,123 times 1000 versus 1,569,123 times 1024)
