This topic was part of the April Fools 2008 joke on the SRB2 forums. Read at your own risk ^_~

I'm getting really suspicious about that SRB2 10th Anniversary Blog...

All it tells us that there are finally slopes...

And for goodness sake, it was placed there today...

And so that what's making me believe that it's another April FOOLS JOKE!!!

Post here to disscuss whether you think it's a joke or not, and maybe SSNTails might tell us if it's really true or not! Then we can see whether he's pulling our legs or not!

That also made me suspicious.

I wonder if it will be taken out by tommorow, and replaced with something that's really going to be in SRB2 1.1...

I don't believe you. You're trying to fool me, but you haven't succeeded thanks to my instinct. It's just another April Fool's joke. I know it. It would be easier to believe you if it wasn't April Fool's Day today.
 
The slopes are fake. I made them and gave them to SSNTails because if I posted them it would become too obvious because I don't have any access to the 1.1 beta (and the SRB2 source code is too complex for me to try such a thing so fast, vaguely I used it to learn how to set up a full screen mode). And those slopes are NOT a staircase. They're walls. Here are the two screenshots I merged:

OK, the first one is yet confusing >_>' I just looked up in OpenGL and disabled filtering so it looked like software, OK? SonicFreak94 spotted out the camera angle.

Anyways, back on-topic, SSNTails told be the blog is going to stay there for real. The blog was an idea he had and this april fools joke was what made him to start it. But what I mean, is that it's real, not a joke. The launch date had to do with the hoax and nothing more.

EDIT: if I spotted out the camera angle earlier (I made the hoax the same day it was posted) I would had made a video out of it, with Sonic running on the quarter loop. If you saw it, what would have been your reaction? And anyways I'm willing to make that video for real.
 
Yeah it's totally never been done before. Also, now I know why it wasn't in an aspect-correct resolution. SSNTails wasn't the one doing it.

If I made it now, it would have been in 640x400 :/ Also I just took the same technique as in the old fake slope topic. Just I made something cooler :D
