Today I got an old Gateway 2000 solo laptop from a freind at church, it has a 200 mghz processor, but its fine for playing around online. I wanted to see if SRB2 could be played one it, but when I tried, it showed this(It runs Windows ME, may be upgraded to xp, but it HD is small
):

How would I fix it?

EDIT:Oops, this should be un suggestions and help huh?

Ok, I just realized that image is so crappy you can't even see it. What it said was:Couldn't set mouse data format. So, how do I fix it?

You mean the image? That dosen't matter to me, its just one pic. If not, and your talking about playing SRB2 on my laptop then, no I haven't.

Use -nomouse for a 'quick fix'

Or, if you want to keep mouse functionality, you can try -nodinput

Thanks SSN, it worked. It's slow( I knew that) but it works. I'm gonna look for a processor and some memory for this laptop and see how fast I can get it ^_^

Actually, I think it has to do with your pointing device. You said you were on a laptop, right? Those have different pointing devices - typically either nubs or touchpads. Perhaps you need to update your drivers.

Yes it is a laptop. It's really old. made in about 2000, 200mghz, it runs Windows ME. I was thinking of upgrading it to WinXP, but I don't think it would run well on a 200mghz. But it ha all the drivers I would need. And the WinXP cd I have Is scratched just a little bit, it works, but sometimes it takes forever to install one file, because it could not be read from the cd. Then I just keep doing try again and again and again, and eventualy it works...

I would not suggest installing WIndows XP on that, if you want it to run really well at all you'll want a CPU clocked at about 400Mhz. I'm pretty sure the minimum requirment is 233Mhz.

As for memory, 128MB minimum. 256MB "Recommended", for any sort of use.

Yeah I thought so. I did that with another old PC of mine, and it was 400mghz, it ran incredibly slow. Well, If I can find some memory cheap I will probably get some for it.

This notebook computer has three SO-DIMM sockets that can accept 8 megabyte (MB), 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB, and 128 MB SDRAM. One, two, or three modules of these capacities can be installed. The memory is expandable up to 384 MB. Modules can be easily added or replaced.
Note: This computer uses 83.3 megahertz (Mhz) or 100 MHz speed memory modules.

Good luck, really. That memory is pretty darn old.

SRB2 for DOS is the fastest version of SRB2, and it will run on Windows ME.

Ok... If its an "EXE" then could I get a link? Or would I find it on google or something. I just used the .bat thing to run it...

Yes, could you please post a link. I have a bit older laptop that I would like to be able to use with SRB2 without slow down.
