Spindashing into many zoom tubes can cause you to walk inside.

Although in ERZ2, this glitch can be used twice to skip almost an entire section. (Somehow it puts you in 3d while in a 2d section.)

To do what I did in this gif, you need to be Tails or Knux, but if you spindashed inside the tube with Sonic... you'd basically be stuck.

Not exactly, with Sonic is possible walking inside by spindashing or thoking inside. With Tails, just spindashing and in the moment you jump to go inside, you start flying to the top. With Knux just with "fast"-gliding.

I meant to get out of the tube in ERZ2 where the GIF takes place.

I can't agree more. It's kinda like the Zoom Tube couldn't catch the player due to going too fast.

That's due to the zoom tube switching to 3D and in the new area where the zoom tube ends, it triggers 2D Mode again.
