How would I make the max speed of characters greater then 36?

What I meant was changing it in XWE and not having the value automaticly go down to 36 if it's above.

I highly doubt that's possible unless you reprogram the internal game limits. See Jason about that

There is an intentional hard-coded limit for how fast you can set a player to go. If you wanna go faster, get all the emeralds as Sonic or get some speed shoes, because it doesn't let you go faster than 36.

Actually, I think you can have Sonic himself automatically give him a powerup!

Set the frame S_PLAY's action function to A_CustomPower, and then set MT_PLAYER's painchance to 9999999, and reactiontime to 1.
