I am currently working on a special stage pack (a certain someone should know who inspired me to do this)

So yea....

Well...

Some of the concepts weren't bad. The trick monitors were a good idea, and the level design idea of "float up a floor" wasn't bad either.

What got me was the fact that all of your large areas were too large, flat and otherwise boring. And all of your small areas were too cramped, go figure.
 
Ok... well, this is certanily good, but a few rings on the first special stage are not floating. I did fall for your trap at the second stage (Did you SOC that?), but you can moniter hop out of the 25 ring moniter trap. I'm looking foward to this... but i'm gonna PM you later on. (About what? You'll have to wait.)

Each time I try and edit it the sig-sev comes up.

Hm.. S_Stage 2 has a little secret can you find it?
 
From those screens, you have some interesting visuals. However, make sure the gameplay is nice and more than just flat plains. (Plz don't conserve sector tags.)
 
Interesting map, but still with some of the flaws I detailed earlier.

Once again, your concept is good. Problem is, each of the areas you warp to have the problems I detailed in my last post. Except this time around, you have more open space problems, than cramped issues.

Your water area needs a colormap.

Your fire area was okay in concept, but the top area didn't fit, and was completely flat and lifeless. Just have the teleport back to middle in the open lava room.

The "Storm Ruins"-esque map had some spring alignment problems which you may want to check out.

Just a bunch of minor problems. Fix them up and you'll have a decent special stage map on your hands.

The teleporter idea might work.
