Special Stage Time/Rings parameters doesn't work anymore?

All is in the title, I wanted to give the level a timelimit visible by the player for technical purposes, but it doesn't work at all, even the attachement in the wiki is broken. Is there any other way to make it work?

Doesn't that work only if the level using it is one of the Special Stages defined in the MAINCFG?

As I cleared the headers first, I thought this was the problem, but after making the special stage start in MAP50, it still doesn't work, I will try to change the map number to see if that can change anything.
EDIT: Nope, still doesn't work.

You also need to change UseNiGHTSSS to false in the MAINCFG block.

You're my saver! It worked and now I have my "very special" special stage ready, yup, races with Metal Sonic in special stages :3
