Please No.
Why do you think Segas coming to an end?
Honestly, play the game first before you say omfg Segas idea is gonna fail.
Or have more videos to judge from.
We only got to see like one level of WERE.

And plus the game is a effing Alpha build. I don't think it's a good time to start judging so early.

Anyways, here's a level that where only seen in the Japanese website. My guess is that it's another level from europe.

It's looking great, but we said that to Sonic Next Gen, too.
Sure, maybe it looks fast, but maybe when we play it the controls will be sloppy and just run the whole thing. Wait, that sounds like another game I know.

Someone got to play a beta on E3, and he didn't sound unpleased.

Though, honestly, like I've probably said before, I'm not going to predict what the game's going to be like until it's released. Everyone else can enjoy ranting about why the game is going to suck or rock, but I personally see that as a waste of time. This is a game. If it sucks, it sucks. If it doesn't, I'll count its blessings, not its tears.

So, the world gets destroyed at one point. Does Eggman do it, or is it because of Werewolf Sonic, or possibly the process of the transformation, critically harming Mobius, or what?

Eggman uses one of his contraptions to drain the energy of the Chaos Emeralds, using the energy to split the world into seven parts and unleash a demon... and apparently Sonic has a seizure, I dunno.

But yeah, it's pretty much Eggman charging his laser at the Earth again.

-resists urge to shoop eggman pic-

I haven't looked into this for a long while, but now that I look back it looks like it may be a good game. But then again, I thought the same about Sonic 2k6 before it came out..

wonder why sonic just dont get a shotgon and shots eggman in the head instead of running around the world O.o
this game looks great because it looks so fast and i like fast games

It would make it a very short and not so fun game... wouldn't it?

MI, faster games sort of have a different appeal. You wouldn't like pacman for the same reason you would like Final Fantasy would you? You wouldn't like Mario for the same reason you would like Gears of War would you? Zelda vs Metroid?

Basically if you want a lot of exploration and long levels, then you may not quite be happy with the daytime levels... nighttime levels maybe and the hub worlds should please you. If you want to breeze through the level and try to get through the fastest possible time you'll probably love the daytime levels (provided they aren't somehow broken) and the branching paths should change things up enough for you to want to come back.

This is the way that Sonic 2 and Sonic Rush (from what I've heard) are different and Sonic Adventure vs Sonic and the Secret Rings... A great many people are fans of both Sonic Rush and Secret Rings and its probably because the new appeal works and maybe fits with Sonic. In a perfect game it would be flawlessly combined in the way the old games are, but we all know Sonic Team cannot (or should not o_O)dream of perfection.

Thats just the way I view it... I love the fast-paced gameplay of Secret Rings and if they are drawing from what made that good in Unleashed, then I'm willing to give it a chance. Were-hog also seems to be enough to satisfy my crave for platforming so hopefully they won't break the game before they give it to us or the Wii version is developed decently.

This is just my thoughts ,but I think there gonna bring back Sonic elemental type levels like this,
Greece- Grassy stage
Venice- Water stage
Africia- jungle stage
Las vegas - casino stage
China walls- rollercoaster stage

Thats all im thinking in my head for now.... :3

Based on what they've said they're doing, they're actually going away even further from the classic locations like jungles and volcanoes, they've said (as we all know) the levels are going to be based on real life locations, we've already seen the levels, High Europe and Greece, and for a sonic game I just don't think those locations work much, however I like the look of China, and there's a desert level which could look very retro.

Also, noone else on any other site seems to have noticed this, but there was an interview with one of the developers, and he said after each level you go into a town and buy upgrades such as better acceleration and faster side dashing, this screams crippled sonic from the secret rings for the start of the game to me. Funny how this critical information which could decide wether this game sucks or not is hiddeen in one interview, but its strange noone esle has mentioned this yet.

Basically the trailers are once again a lie and Sega have forgotten to mention one really important screw up, this time its the fact that we're not going to start with the speed shown in the trailers and we're going to start off slow like secret rings.

This finally explains to me how we're meant to take different pathways our first time playing through, when I was watching the High Europe trailer, I was thinking "how are we supposed to react to that wall jumping shortcut the first time playing through when we run so fast past it? The answer is simple, you'll be running slowly with a downgraded sonic at the start of the game so you'll easily be able to see it when running through the first time, and you can then jump up, and when you finally buy all your abilities and get to full speed you'll have memorized the level, it makes perfect sense, welcome back crippled Sonic from Secret Rings.

Actually the Sonic from Secret Rings never struck me as slow. Lost Prologue was pretty dull though and Sand Oasis doesn't pose much of a threat, but he seemed to be decent from the start and kept getting better with every upgrade. Its an aspect of Secret Rings I actually quite liked and actually is a convenient way to allow me to get the upgrades when I'm ready for them as well as make me want to play the levels later when I think that I can use a specific upgrade to find something or get a time bonus.

Now I'm not going to be too awful disappointed if the game turns out to be bad, after all the version I'd be getting hasn't even been displayed outside a couple screens and a few questions. However I still have not seen anything yet to convince me that it is going to fail, and I don't think that using upgrades to go faster is really a proper reason to guarantee that and neither is werehog. (Oh yeah... Sonic changes form due to something going on with the chaos emeralds and appears somewhat differently and plays differently, and uses the unique abilities to help foil Robotnik's plans... thats something I've never seen before, especially not in Sonic 2 and 3K <_<)

However I'm curious to see the interview that hid this information that you talk about Sciky.

Three raw gameplay videos. Check it.

Yeah, yeah, it's what you saw at E3. However, the commentary's been excluded, so now you can hear the actual ingame audio.

Pretty catchy tunes. The monsters are kind of annoying, though, I think.

Screw the monsters, I couldn't stand hearing Jason (not Sonic) say "YAH!" every time the boost was activated/he switched rails/hit a boost/etc...
