my reasoning is because:
1. He's yellow, like super sonic
2. He's dark on the top, but light on the bottom, thus being negative, or Nega

I think it would be either using the time stones or some other new version of the chaos emeralds, maybe the emeralds of chaos (What the people that found them called them) that look like the normal chaos emeralds, but the base colours are inverted, so the blue one would be orange, green would be red, so on and so forth.
