Right i wanted to know if srb2 has anything to do with sonic extreme because the sprites looks almost the same :S

No, very old versions of SRB2 used the Sonic Xtreme Sonic sprite as a placeholder. The current version of SRB2 uses hand-drawn Sonic and Tails sprites.

We don't have material from Sonic Xtreme in the game anymore.

Aren't the Knuckles running/climbing sprites taken from Sonic Xtreme? They still look as though they are in v1.09.4 of SRB2.

But, no, the 3D knuckles sprites were screens from a custom model.

Aha... Thanx for clarifying that.

Anyways, yes Knuckles was planned to be put into Xtreme, but seeing as the game never made release, never did. However, they did have some Knuckles sprites prepared that looked similar to those for Knuckles in SRB2. That is probably where I went wrong.
