If you want to make a remake of this game into the mod, you are going to not only have to make almost everything how the original was, but also you need the textures for it as well. The srb2 ones in Death Egg don't really look cool in my opinion. Also Good luck making Metropolis Zone & Oil Ocean Zone.

Basic scenery, yes, but that scenery was pretty. It had custom textures and sprites everywhere.

I personally think that you should wait until the next version of SRB2 to make 2D levels. Its stated in the SRB2 Wiki that it would be better in 1.1. You could try to make an exe mod, but given that the next release is a couple months away I wouldn't bother. I personally don't like ShufflaRB2's 2D mode, but I guess you could make it for that.

That may be. (Thank you, wife of SSN) It may be better BUT two programs came to mind when I read this. Better2dmode.exe and SRB2 Community Build. Also, anyone notice the last post was 20 days ago?

There was also a glitch that made those custom sprites permanent. and they were complete 2D sprites. Think about that...[/spoiler:16d8208a27]
 
1.1 in May? That would be odd.

Also, if your still looking for a recording program, there's one called WeGame. Just do a google for it, It's free, and it doesn't lagg at all :) I would link the website, but I can't remember it. Bets are on wegame.com xD

Hey, can I be a beta testers, I don;t know if you will accept me, but I swear upon my heart and soul that I will keep your beta to myslef and keep giving suggestions like a beta testers should and I will give you a highly detailed report.
