some problems

so i was playing srb2, then i close the game, and when i get back i run the game and there was over 7 windows that has been opened from srb2 and my PC crashed, i reinstalled the game and installed it again then when i open the game i was going to set the resolution (because i hate full screen) and then it didn't shange resolution, do you know how to fix that? (also sorry for my bad english).
