'K, I have the thing setup and stuff, works fine, etc., but when I first connected the second monitor both monitors were displaying the same thing, and a dialog box came up asking em if I wanted to extend the monitor and, of course, I clicked yes. Now, how do I get the monitors back to displaying the same thing(Don't ask why), because I can't find that same dialog box anywhere.

K, I'll try it when my dad comes home with it. (It's a laptop)

Anyways, this didn't matter that much, because I was just experimenting to see if I should set it up on my XP computer.

If it uses an nVidia card, then there should be a little green icon on the taskbar. If you right click it, you'd mess around in that menu a little bit to get it how you want.
If it's ATi, then I have no idea.

I think it's Nvidia. Again, I'll have to wait till my dad gets home with the laptop.

Delete+repost: Shit, it's ATi, and I can't find it anywhere in its options.

I honestly wouldn't bother using Catalyst Control Center. It's rather slow (why are load times so bad for a utility?) and doesn't contain all the options you might want to use.

Instead, I'd suggest installing the Catalyst drivers separately (if you haven't already) and instead get ATI Tray Tools, a third-party tool that, in my opinion, is far more handy that the official Control Center. In Tray Tools, you right-click the tray icon, go to Display, then Settings, and adjust things from there.

I've went there, and when I tried unchecking "Extend Desktop to this monitor", it just made the second monitor go black.

Billy, those are the basic Windows settings. If he wants to change what method the video card uses to extend onto the second monitor, he'll need to change his driver settings.

Kaysakado, please download ATI Tray Tools, then navigate to this dialog:

'K, although I'll have to wait 'till my dad gets home, again, which should be in about two minutes, anyways.

Delete+Repost: Yayz, it worked. Kind of, but good enough for me. (It treated them like the same monitor, so I had to find a resolution that was comfortable at both sizes)
