How do you take good screenshots of the game?

bind p "screenshot" in the console

Press P.
Or change P to whatever key you want, doesn't matter.

Here's a better idea:
See the button that's to the left of the Scroll Lock button? Try pressing that when playing the game.

No it's not, that's Print Screen, and it screws up the colors if you aren't in opengl mode.

True. I tried PrintScreen-ing a game in full screen (it won't do Window mode for some reason :( ) and just got a mass of purple and green.

Same here, my screen was just Black with some white Pixels (maybe 2 or 3 white pixels)

Oh yeah? Well my awesome graphics card gave me black with some blue in it plus bright multi-colored tulips!
