Says controller is already in use

I tried to play with my controller, but after I tried to select it in the "Select Gamepad" menu, it said it is already being used. I looked in the Player Two controls and it wasn't using it. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you tried changing the .cfg file? It might be a quick fix, but - if it's an actual issue and you are not ignoring something, then the devs might have to fix this.
