Saves with mods.

So, I swear I did try to use the search feature before posting but, I couldn't really find an answer. I was previously under the impression that you could not save with mods running. But, I was streaming the other day and someone in my chat said there is a way to save with mods. But, I didn't get the details of how. So, I was hoping to get more information on this. I apologize if this is a super obvious question. But, any help would be super appreciated.

You need to Download the custom game data, it allows you to play with mods in SP and it saves the files, and also let's you save your times in Record Attack

Oh, thanks! I have no clue why that didn't come up when I searched before. But, oh well.
