I just woke up and began flipping through my favorite news channels as usual, when I discovered that they all had just received word that Saddam Hussein has been captured. At a news breifing, they opened with a speech stating "Ladies and gentlemen, we got him,"
He was found hiding in a hole (yes, a hole, about 8 ft. deep with an exhaust vent leading into it for air), dubbed a "spider hole" (and wearing a fake beard) just outside of his hometown of Tikrit. Iraqi people are firing gunshots, and spraying soda in celebration of the fact that the brutal dictator has been apprehended.
Even at the aforementioned news breifing, one Iraqi man stood up and screamed "Death to Saddam" in his native tongue.
Although, there is still worry, as the war is obviously far from over, as we have yet to find the heart of the remaining terrorist activity. But, this symbolic capture gives us more hope than ever.
