Robotnik Ring Racers: Can't get a custom character OGG sounds to play?

Hey everyone so been playing around with RRR and was working on Amelia Watson as a character, I've finished the sprite sheet and done a few tests in game but for what ever reason I can't get any voice files to play. Even the ones from the folder in the kart marker don't work. I can't figure out what I've done wrong? I'm using Audactiy and have the Project Rate (Hz) set to 44100. The files play in SLADE but not in the game.

Not sure if anyone has the answers for me?

I don’t know anything about sound modding, but I think OGG is exclusively for music. And not to be used for sound effects.

With all due respect, if you "don't know anything about sound modding," then you probably should not be attempting to answer a question about sound modding.

In any case, make sure the filenames for each sound are exactly correct. If they aren't, they won't play in-game.

Is it possible the sound effects are just too quiet to hear in game? That happened to me, the sounds for Ring Racers needed to be a lot louder than I first assumed. Test again with the music muted and see if you can hear it

I actually figure it out haha! I did everything correctly but it turns out the character prefix in the properties.txt has to be more than 3 characters. Originally I had it as "AME" changed it to "AMEW" and all the OGG's play perfectly fine! :)
