(Ring Racers) Double Gear Pack - Development Thread

Double Gear Specialist
Alright, so I'm sure you've heard about my Double Gear Pack before, right? I'm thankful that you people are getting some kind of enjoyment out of this and seeing this being on multiple online servers. However, an event that happened that made me stopped updating this pack.

Days after I announced my plans for Double Gear Pack V3.0, my computer broke down and all of my files are gone. While I still have them (Thankfully), I couldn't push myself to do them. That is until that one day...

A member by the name of PlatterTheFinch ranted about this pack and its flaws (Omashu's down trick thing, Missing guardrails on needed sections, The Sealed Star being nigh-impossible, Ect.), and that made me wonder about some questions... Were the maps really the best I can do? Did those sharp turns really turn those maps down? Is having no hazards bad or good? And how can I make these maps better and possibly be on par with the basegame maps when I have nothing to base upon?

And that's why this thread is created.

Welcome to the Development Thread of the all-new Double Gear Pack V3.0! As you can see, I made a mid-tier logo to tie into this big update. The reason why I made this in the "Works in Progress Showcase" instead in the "Ring Racers Modding" is because the latter is rarely used for showcasing incoming Ring Racers mods. Hope that you'll understand. But allow me to go into the scope in this update:

Since I'm not proud about how the 4-map Double Gear Cup turned out, I'm remaking every single map that I made for this pack! ...Excluding Logging Facility because it needs to be removed anyway. It'll also include brand new maps as well. (I might do something with the old maps, but we'll have to see.)

To start it off, here's an extremely early preview on the remake of Hyudoro Ruinsway.

I'll post more updates on Development from time to time, so go to the newest posts to find them. Anyway, that's all for today, see you next time or something.
