Ring racers chaos emeralds

Okay I know ring racers has only been out for a few days but has anyone managed to get any of the emeralds? I was able to get the first emerald in the ring cup but once I get to the sneakers cup its impossible. I got an A rank on every race only to get a B overall. Any advice anyone can give?

Save up as many continues as possible, (using continues also retracts from your score) and finish tracks with as many rings as possible.
I've gone there with two B ranks and one C rank in the past, but since I had a lot of rings and didn't use up my continues, I was able to go to the special stage.

You don't even need 20/20 rings on every track in order to access it. You just need a lot. Although I'm not sure how many you need in total.

hm alright, i think I was making it way too hard for myself. this whole time ive been trying to get All A ranks with first place every race with 20 /20 rings. thank god its not THAT nightmarish
