Regarding Capsules

I was wondering, would it be possible to make the Egg Capsule trigger something OTHER than the end of a stage? Like, for instance, open a door?

Should be. If you don't put a capsule center in the capsule then the stage won't end and animals won't appear. You can put stuff like THZ turrets and item boxes in it instead.

Theoretically, you should be able to make an egg capsule open a door, but I don't see why you would.

Well, I want to go for that Sonic 3 and knuckles feel, where you pop the capsule open and open a door to an exit sector, in my case being a deep pool of water leading to the next stage.(or something other...)

EDIT:So I guess a better question would be, "how do I get linedef 106 (move sector floor) to work properly?" The wiki doesn't explain it clearly enough for me.

First question: Do you have any idea about these mystical linedef executors?

If not, read up. Essentially, you step in a sector (Note: Sector type needed. x.x) that triggers a linedef on a control sector. The sector controls where in the sector the effect is activated, and the trigger linedef controls when the executor can be triggered. Afterwards, linedefs on the control sector with the trigger are "activated". What the linedefs *do* is detailed on the wiki.

There's a way to do linedef executors using object states. Something you'd want here is the capsule to trigger when it dies, so you'd use its death state as the linedef executor. Only problem is that the A_LinedefExecute action for objects is incredibly complex and only a handful of people know how to actually do it. :/

Because setting Var1 to the tag of a continuous linedef executer is REAL difficult.

Well, I suppose it was much harder back before Vars were implimented, but meh.

But yeah, linedef 15 and linedef 106 will work fine if you don't wanna get into SOCs.

Fine, I'll just go with option "B", since I'm *still* trying to pick apart what you meant in your first sentence five minutes after reading it. Control sectors will do for now.
