I know it is one and a half year late but, is anyone getting Sonic 06 vibes from Sonic Frontiers or is it only me? I am not referring to jank or anything bad no, just the environment and the pacing feels like that.

Both games have realistic environments. Might as well say "Haven't you noticed how real-life seems to be based on the locations from Sonic 06?"

Not only that tho. The badnicks look similar so is the story pacing. Maybe that also affects it.

Not really. Frontiers has more abstract enemies.
