Question about the rings..

Y'know, rings? Yeah, the gold things.. the things you pick up to keep from dying.. the special powerup rings and stuff? Yeah, the rings that give you points and give you extra lives. Yeah, those.
I was just wondering, were they made from screenshots of models? It sure looks like it. If so, I need those models >_>;

The original standard ring was modeled by Mark of "Sonic 2000" fame in Truspace 4.

The weapon rings were modeled by SSonic123 (Jaeson). I had to pay the jerk to do it, though.

Pay him to make rings out of simple shapes? O.o

Anyways, probably one of the easiest 3D modelers out there is Wings3D. You might want to try that. Just make a torus shape and then add some extra geometry to it.

Alright then, I guess I"ll have to model my own rings. I was hoping I could just steal SRB2's and make modifications to it. Ah well.
