SegaSonic Network. SSNTails was one of the founders of Sonic Team Jr, and one of the artists for old SRB2.

Specifically, SSN is used in addon lingo to mean "something in the style of SSNTails" or "the style of SRB2 before Version 2.2.0". 2.2.0 was when almost all of the game's assets were either touched up or remade. Before that, it was still using the same art style it had been for two decades.
