I have an idea to make it easier to make, as well as cheaper
grab a controller and put it in a box. make the back of the controller available at the back of the box. put a dreamcast (or it's circuitboards) underneath the controller, and plug it into a mini screen. or alternatively just grab a GEEKOM computer, put a screen on it, give it a dreamcast emulator and some games, and plus a controller into it. your choice
