Ports

I noticed Foxunit has a server open now (6:20 EST) that's on port 5059. At least, that's what it says on srb2ms. How is this possible? I thought you could only host or join on ports 5029 and 5030... Is there a way to change which port you join/host on?

CONNECT 69.203.160.88
doesn't work.
That's because it's trying to connect through the default port, 5029. In order to connect to the server, you have to connect through 5059, in which case you would need to type "CONNECT 69.203.160.88:5059"

While the server was still running, Foxunit passed around a special .bat file which allowed you to connect to the server.

I know, but it'd be wrong to tell for if told (especially on the board), it would create chaos.

If I post it here, everybody will go nuts and crash netgames like crazy, so no. Besides, just look at what happened when Broomop exposed the "Photon Blast in Lobby Causes PSO to Crash" glitch. It 'effed everything up

Yes, I was the one who told Shuffle. He's trustworthy, though ^_^

*pats Shuffle on head and gives him a snickers bar*

Alert AJ to it, at least. Severe bugs that crash SRB2 out or something similar need to be fixed, obviously.

It was fixed in 1.09, Mystic, so no worries there. However, there's going to be quite a bit of chaos until 1.09 comes out if the command is discovered :|

Oh yeah, I think I remember that. It's the exploit that gives you admin power over a server, right?

Shh! Quiet down or the n00bs will hear you!

Yeah, you're right, though. I tested it out in 1.09 a few hours ago and it's working properly, so that's good. Besides, not too many people know what it is (Even though it's balantley obvious), and the people who do aren't selfless bastards, so there shouldn't be much of a problem to deal with anyways. :?
