Pandora's Box?

I was browsing through unlockables and saw "Pandora's Box", what is it, and what does it do?

It's a menu which lets you modify various items, such as how many Rings and lives your character has.

Might just be me, but my pandora's box only allows me to change gravity, get all the emeralds, throw rings, select stages, and destroy all bots. I dunno about yours. Oh, it also contains "the ultimate cheat" which is basically the greatest thing ever.
