so basically, the second thing i need to do for my mod to basically be ok is for the palettes, every time i use the convert to it just breaks the palettes and i can't use them. the thing i really need to do is change the palettes so that using other weapons can change color (you can still change the color and youll still have the weapon). does someone know how to fix this?

Not an expert but I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it would help to elaborate using a gif or some screenshots.

recolor it green (srb2 palette green)

here is the palette (I think I got it from srb2 wiki I forgor)

To help clarify: characters use colors 96 through 111 (as shown above) anywhere they're supposed to be able to change colors.
