Outline becomes thicker when using SF_HIRES

Just a guy who loves... EVERYTHING!
I'm using the flag SF_HIRES, and it makes the sprite's outline WAYY thicker than it's supposed to be. I don't want it like that, can someone help me?

Here are some examples of what happens. Example.png is what the sprite is supposed to look like, and the other png is what it looks like ingame. It's low quality, but the sprite outline becomes super thick. Any way to fix it?
