Our "Search" feature sucks.

Go ahead, test it. It gives a bunch of topics with complete irrelevance to what you put in.

It searches for the word within the topic, it doesn't have to have anything to do with the topic...

Maybe a 'tag' mod would be a nice idea, for searching for topics that are relevant to what you put in...

You realise all that mod does is remove quoted text from results, right? Even if the search result picks up the post because of something in the quote...

In other words, it only removes the quotes to human eye, not search's eye. So if a post only contains a quote, it'll have a blank post.

There's also the point that you'll catch relevant text within the results, as opposed to a quote. It's entirely possible that the post itself has relevant text, but you aren't likely to check it if all it has is a quote.

A lot of times I use google to search the forums. Because I like it better then the search that we have here on the forums. Try typing this in to google:
site:ssntails.sepwich.com/mb wadname.wad
