I don't think its a problem with mobile SRB2 2.2.8 in general, but rather the device the person has.
Why I say this is because I have a phone(Galaxy s10e) with SRB2 2.2.8 on it, and the level loads perfectly fine for me in OpenGL.
Oh yeah I have the same problem and I made a thread on the problem a long time ago. Well the problem is what BBQbeans said and to be more exact on the problem it's most likely a problem with most phones graphics cards because a lot of phones have low quality graphics cards.
