Honestly glad a new Mario Kart is coming to Switch 2 since MK8DX STINKS. Like after playing more racing games (Forza, Ring Racers, Riders) I just notice how unpolished MK8DX is. Like you can tell it came from the Scott the Woz system.

Mario Kart 8 isn't unpolished, the frick you on about? It's an extremely well-polished game. I think you're using the incorrect term to describe your dislike for the game - it's a very stable experience, and I've encountered zero-to-none bugs. The only "unpolished" thing about it could be its framerate, and that's the fault of the system, not the game.

By 'polish' I mean gameplay, I should of specified that. MK8DX relies on the same 5 vehicle combos, the purple guy people want in smash for some reason, and to some extent item bagging. Struggling to win? Oh, just cheese it and get a star and bullet. Are you that one lame-ass youtuber? (Not Troy, the other one.) Just make a compilation of you getting 100% legit wins by taking a bullet and star into first place. (I refuse to believe this was 'nerfed' since I was able to pull it off recently.)
The only time. could say there was no polish is for some of the DLC courses being just straight up ports from Tour with little to no changes. Also the game is super slow (excluding 200cc) that it bores me to tears.

I love MK8DX and I won’t sugarcoat it but I think DR robotniks ring rng is bullshit. This game IS NOT better than MK8DX let’s just get that out the way that the original SRB2Kart is better. Also I agree with item roulette but then what fun would it be to have 9th place people get coins? We gotta have them catch up somehow. Also while on the subject I could name like 3 games better than DRR that are in the same racing genre in fact ima do it

I love ring racers, but I will agree that SRB2Kart had a few more pros. I honestly wish there was a kind of SRB2Kart mode. (NO, NOT THE JOKE ONE, THAT DONT DO NOTHING!) You know, one that makes certain things in game different! :3

150cc could be faster, and I'll admit the DLC courses are unpolished in comparison to the rest of the game, they look really bad.
Anyways, I believe you're looking for the word "balanced," not "polished."
If the gameplay were balanced perfectly, the vehicle combos would be diverse, Waluigi would be just as relevant as any other character, and item bagging wouldn't be a problem.
If the gameplay were polished perfectly, there would be zero gameplay and graphical bugs or exploits.
There is overlap ("exploits" within polish overlaps with the item bagging problem within "balance") with the two words, but overall, the word I think you're looking for is "balanced."
BTW, haven't tried Ring Racers. Doesn't have appeal to me. Looks too messy. Honestly there should be an on-foot racing game. Much more appeal to me within the Sonic IP.

Sonic R exists - it's a bit of a weird game but polishing it up would really work. Some sorta mashed combination of Sonic Unleashed, Sonic R, and Sonic Advance 2 would hit just right as a racing game.

True. Forgot that game was a thing (maybe because it flopped as a game and probably the reason SEGA didn’t revisit that concept) I think sonic R failed as a racing game because it tried too much to be its own thing and be original.
