Newer version available error when that version never exist yet

Hello, i have a problem with my own compiled build of ring racers from the official git repo on Pop!_OS, it runs well, but when i visit the server browser, it says that 2.4 is available, but it's not even in the kartkrew website (lists the latest version as 2.3) nor the git repo. (git pull says up to date.) Is there a way to fix this?

Update: i was stupid and i just realized that was a beta build... Is there a git repo where it has the stable version as the kartkrew git repo seems to be the beta version.

We aren't using the master branch as a stable tree in Ring Racers like is done in other repos. If you want to build 2.3, you should checkout the v2.3 tag specifically.
