New Soc problem

I've recently figured out how to combine Socs with wads, and have been experimenting with that as I try to balance out my custom character.

However, one idea I have seems to not be working out.

My question is... Is there a way to set an underwater timer modification so that it only affects one character? The idea was to balance out a very slow character with the ability to hide underwater (or under Techno Hill Zone goop) for long periods of time. (I was thinking that this could make a good ambush-styled character.) But all my attempts so far have resulted in every character getting this ability, negating any advantage.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
 
Well that kinda throws most of my ideas out the window.

Thanks for the help though. I guess I can just make a custom spinitem that sets it. (<--EDIT: Didn't work.)



One more question for now. Is there any way to create an object that targets whatever happens to be targeting you at the time?
