Shadow and Rouge, however...
But besides. Noone here likes most fancharecters that much except the n00bs. Stay to the original cast, please.
Besides, they aren't that good.
Stoner? Is he on drugs?
Alt.Stoner is a wierd name.
Amethyst. What the...
Amonic... Putting the names of the two parents together is uncool.
And it doesnt happen in real life. IE-
A guy named Joe has sex with a girl named Mellisa.
Would the kid be named Mellisoe? Jellisa?
WRONG. It would be an ordinary name.
See?

Stoner is on drugs, get over it. He REALLY
doesn't fuction well without them.

Then you would blame the fact the sprites are edit from SRB2 ones.Tapika the fox said:EDIT: Oh, use SRB2 style. Sonic TINY is bad.
I'm quite sure that then you agree that even a good storyline (with no extra characters) isn't a good idea.Mystic said:Even original characters aren't really a good idea

What happened was youtube. As plainly seen on the video's comments, many, if not the majority, of the browsers of youtube are n00bs. The n00bs that were already here made videos like "Srb2 fun", which were basically videos of sonic, tails and knuckles clone standing around and hanging out. Of course, n00bs see srb2 and ask in the comments what game it is, and either A: They get answered or B: they use google. In using google, they find it. Then, they start making levels/recolors, think they are the best creator of them in the world,(of course not needing proper grammar or intelligence!) and join the forums, or they join the forums asking where to get JTE or HMS123311, or they join the forums for the heck of it and act like they are the center of the universe.Sik said:See, two years ago, when I left, this forum was considered a model to follow. That's true. I've seen the effect "no fancharacters" has brought upon the popularity of SRB2. Since we all start out as noobs, and the fact that mostly noobs care about this, a lesser amount of noobs will come here for the game. That's not necessarily a good thing; in most cases, noobs cease being noobs when they get more experience on the internet, or gain maturity by aging or some other way.
Wait and watch how most of the people here will leave after 1.1 gets released and how fast they do it :P It already happened with 1.09, imagine it with 1.1, which suppodsely will be the first complete version for real (first because then come bugfixes :P).Ash said:Though, I do not agree that 1.1 will overkill the forum... it may disrupt activity, that's for sure. The sheer amount of members joining will be staggering at first, but eventually, it will be under control (I assume a bunch of people will be new moderators/administrators when this happens).
I don't think this will make any big change to the situation (either for good or for bad)...Ash said:2nd Paragraph:
Web 2.0. *shot* Well, one would assume the internet would be changing, just like everything else does. It's not only that a new generation has been introduced to the vast world we call internet, but also the advancement of technology within itself. Now it has become increasingly easier to make a webpage, have a webdirectory, store files, etcetera. Because of this, people are taking advantage of the convenience. It happens. You just learn how to deal with it.
No, people are looking at this forum as a sanctuary for idiots. In fact I have been even asked to leave this forum because of that (I won't mention who was it before causing more trouble, just I'll say it wasn't somebody from here).Ash said:Rules aren't considered to be convenient, because it adds restrictions and limits, so that's why this forum is considered to be one of the worse. Idiots do something totally intolerable, so a rule is added to make them stop. It has happened enough times to add a large amount of rules that could easily intimidate new users. The strictness is necessary, though; otherwise, the forum would fall apart (or prosper; it depends on the situation).

Youtube already existed back when I joined the forums. C'mon, even before I even started messing up with Internet! And SRB2 has been out there even longer than YouTube. I highly doubt YouTube has anything to do with it.Orangelink said:What happened was youtube. As plainly seen on the video's comments, many, if not the majority, of the browsers of youtube are n00bs. The thing is, not very many n00bs knew how to (or at least wanted to) upload videos at the time. Also, youtube was much less popular then.Sik said:Youtube already existed back when I joined the forums. C'mon, even before I even started messing up with Internet! Sik won this thread. I believe what he said.Chrome the hedgehog said:
See, in theory, a n00b is a person that never stops acting like a newbie. A newbie is expected to make all those stupid mistakes. But they learn and stop doing so. A n00b never stops. If you stopped being a n00b, then obviously you weren't a real n00b, but a newbie. Not all newbies learn fast, and being banned from at least one forum is the most normal thing. Even I was banned from one forum (well, after breaking absolutely all rules except posting porn XD).Ash said:I'd just like to comment on one last thing...

I dunno, Sik. I think I, myself, am living proof that your statement is false. :P
Seriously, if I wasn't a n00b, then... I dunno what I was.
