i think that maybe making the frontal eye brows more angry, so he looks more serious. try making the "circle" of facemore prominant, so that it doesn't looks like his quills are a part of his head.
 
if you want custom colors for MVsonic, try using this! i bet ya know how to make custom colors (if you don't check the tutorials on gamejolt.), so if you need to visualize them use switchkaze's website on github
