Netgames that use wads

Sometimes when I go to join a netgame I cant because I dont have a wad the host has added.

But sometimes I cant join a netgame Even though I have the wad.
I have the right wad but when I go to join It says I need the wad .

This has happend to me many times with Many different wads.

It happens to me the most with these wads.

Nitemare.wad
senya.wad
sadx-sonic.wad
metalsonic.wad
scr_sonic_ultima.wad

These are just a few of them.

I have all these wads but sometimes I cant join netgames that have them added.

Can someone tell me why.

You probably don't have the same version of the WAD as they do.

Take metalsonic for example.

That is one of the esiest wads to get, I havent seen any other versions.

Is it possible that the wads are different if the sites they are downloaded from are different?

Easily.

Senku's WADs are updated with 15-minute intervals, which explains Senya and Nitemare.

SADX-Sonic, and Sonic Ultima both have multiple versions existing.

No idea about MetalSonic though

They are probobly using an older version of a WAD, meaning that they are ethier:

A) Too lazy to update.

B) Just plain stupid.

Well I redownloaded a bunch of the wads that were giving me problems so I will just have to see what happens.
