it shows a message "you have been kicked"
always!!

If that happens, there is a general problem with your internet...it's not a game problem if you can see other netgames.
also to answer your other question, a recolor is a charachter based off of an existing one, e.g. a sonic colored red. These are frowened upon, mostly because they are easy to make and end up looking bad.
