You have to find it yourself, but I will give you a hint. You must go as Sonic on normal mode or harder. The entrance is in an open space.

You don't need to be or do anything at all, in the game or otherwise. Need is an artificial concept based on the requirements to achieve a set goal. Usually, this is reffered to as "staying alive", but in proper use, without direction, "need" is nonexistant. So in conclusion, you don't need to be *shot*
